HOURS OF OPERATION

Due to the Coronavirus and by order of Governor Inslee, Newport City Hall will not be staffed regularly until further notice. Therefore we will not be available for phone payments at this time. If you need to make a payment, we encourage you to mail or drop off your payment in our front door dropbox. Should you have an urgent matter such as police, water or sewer problem, please call 509 447-1980 for Sheriff’s dispatch. Someone will be called out to help you as needed. If you have a billing question, you can leave a message at 509 447-6495. This voicemail will be checked regularly and your call will be returned. Thank you for your understanding during this challenging time.

Normal hours at Newport City Hall for walk in business are now 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday - Friday except holidays when we are closed. Effective July 1, 2016, the lobby of City Hall will open at 8:30 am instead of 8:00 am. The later opening will allow staff to do banking and daily financial balancing before opening for the public. We will still be available for telephone calls after 8 am at 509 447-5611.
